Founded in May 2009, the H.O.P.E. Team is a nonprofit organization which exists to support patients at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), Phoenix. We strive to provide Help, Optimism, Peace and Encouragement for cancer patients and their families. Through the H.O.P.E. Team, community members are an integral component of the care team that has made CTCA synonymous with quality and compassion.
The H.O.P.E. Team provides a volunteer service program at CTCA which enhances the whole-person care concept that CTCA refers to as the Mother Standard of Care. This guiding principle is a nurturing approach carried out by all CTCA employees. The Mother Standard reflects how they would want their mothers, fathers, brothers or sisters to be treated, if they had cancer.
The HOPE Team raises funds from around the community. So, the patients coming from 20+ states can take cancer off their mind even for a short while. By going to movies, dinners, sporting events, bingo, craft nights and so much more.
